The Wedge Books are a two-volume songbook series built around some of the most commonly played songs in bluegrass and Americana jams. Each book includes 225 songs, all formatted to fit on a single page, with chords above every verse and a chord chart for reference. Volume 1 focuses on bluegrass, and old-time. Volume 2 explores Americana, spanning folk, blues, and country music.

This collection of 225 song sheets are well suited for bluegrass and bluegrass-adjacent jams. It combines well-known bluegrass standards with old-time favorites, folky flatpicking tunes, crossover country songs, and a few modern string band pieces.

This collection of 225 song sheets primarily draws from folk, blues, and country music. A special focus has been placed on songs covered by Jerry Garcia.

Each song is formatted to fit on a single page, with chords placed above the lyrics for every verse, along with a chord chart for reference.
CHEAT SHEET
The Wedge Book is meant to be used as a “cheat sheet” for jam circles. The lyrics, basic chords and chord charts are provided, but you’ll need to listen to each song to understand the melody and rhythm.
Nashville Number System
Most of the songs are notated using the Nashville Number System (e.g. 1, 4, 5 instead of G, C, D) to allow the singer to easily change the key.
Fun Fact
A “fun fact” is provided for many of the songs in this book. Having done only surface level research some of this information might be incorrect. I believe the lore of a song is interesting, regardless if it’s true.
